About us

Welcome to Women Agri Investment Hub

We invest in agri-business and other social projects by connecting women to agri-entrepreneurs and philanthropic organization

Women Agri Investment Hub (WAIH) is a gender equality and economic inclusion Non Profit Organization founded in May 2017 and officially registered in July 2021 that responds to the continuing poverty, food insecurity, and climate vulnerability that women small-scale farmers face in Cameroon.

By investing in women, we invest in human rights, a more equal society, and in the future.

When women progress, their communities progress, when women have enough food, so do their families, when women have an income, their children go to school and get better healthcare. In short – an investment in women is an investment in our shared future – and we must increase investments in women significantly if we are to get back on course with many global problems.

Working for gender equality in diverse contexts

Women Agri Investment Hub (WAIH)  works across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, in contexts that are characterized by shrinking agro production, shrinking civic space, climate change, displacement, conflict and women’s right violations in online and offline spaces.

Our approach to working with gender equality and women’s empowerment is as diverse as the contexts we operate in.  Investing in women catalyses inclusive economic growth through women’s social and economic empowerment.

Our approach

Our Mission
WAIH’s Mission is to inspire and connect women, women agri- entrepreneurs to innovators, business investors, philanthropists, private and public donors.
Our Vision

“Invest in Agri-Business and Socio-Economic Projects where women are visible, leading and are wining”

HISTORY

Women Agri Investment Hub (WAIH) is a service-oriented national non-governmental organization (NGO) under the registration No NW/GP/001/21/16838 of the Republic of Cameroon. It was founded in May 2017 and officially registered on 1st of July 2021.

Women Agri Investment Hub (WAIH) was founded on the belief that investment in women and agriculture can be a revolutionary concept, and when bundled with educational and empowerment programming, can build social capital and increase the potential of women to be active nation builders. It is this belief that inspired our Founders , to create the organization, and are the driving force behind the programmes.

Investing in women provides not only economic opportunities, but educational opportunities as well  creating strong family social networks. This can help women to build livelihoods and a brighter future for the entire family. The unique potential of agriculture investment lies in its ability to create a platform for identifying and addressing  others social challenges facing underserved families.

Women Agri Investment Hub (WAIH) is dedicated to the women clients in our programs who are working every day to create a better future for themselves and their families. They are in the  markets selling goods, produce food, raising chickens, agriculture, rebuilding their communities; attending their repayment meetings, taking care of their children, hauling water, cooking, cleaning, and fighting: fighting to be heard, respected, dignity, security and for the right to dream.

WAIH  integrates social mobilization, livelihood, agriculture and livestock value chain and business development in a multi-stakeholder approach in partnership with government, non-government organizations and private sectors both at International, national and local levels to achieve its objectives.
